A project organised by the Embroiderers' Guild UK to mark the centenary of WW1 by creating a heart to honour the memory of an individual or group lost in the fighting.  12cm from top to tail.

I chose to celebrate the lives of those names etched into our village war memorial.  The whole collection of hearts were displayed at EG headquarters and at Knitting & Stitching Shows.
