Transferring to Stamford Art Centre for September
A series of nine panels - three large and six small. Each one depicts some element of the weather data collected in my East Midlands garden during the year 2022 - when the crazy 40 degree summer happened. The large pieces are Hot & Bothered (max and min temperatures every day), Blown Away (wind speed and direction each day) and Under Pressure (Atmospheric pressure and rainfall each day). They also depict day length changes throughout the year and weekly, monthly and seasonal averages.
The smaller panels celebrate the extreme months - the wettest, driest, windiest, calmest, hottest and coldest using meteorological symbols and synoptic chart elements.

Landscapes
A recurring theme in my work - wild, cultivated or urban
These six landscape panels will be shown at Rugby Museum and Art Gallery from 11 - 22 August as part of the Visualise Art Textiles Exhibition. Bluebell wood, Anglesey Abbey Tulips, Verge & Roundabout are small pictures. Field Boundary is a larger rectangular piece and Tree Tunnel is larger still and will be displayed on the Balcony. I have some fine art Giclee prints of most of these pieces - they will be at Rugby Gallery.

Some other landscape works include Garden Border (sold), Cherry Tree, A Walk in the Woods (sold) and Hard Frost (sold). Cherry Tree will be at Lamport Hall Central Exhibition in September along with another (as yet unmade!) piece called The Hollow Way. I do have fine art Giclee prints of some of my landscapes - they will be at Lamport in the print browsers and at Stamford Art Centre (both in September) and with me on a pop up event at Lamport on 5th & 6th September in Brewers' Yard.
Colour Extractions
I LOVE colour! Look at the colours and work out the proportions of each in a particular object.
These are birds! A group of nine riverside birds (I bet you can find the Kingfisher...) and nine garden birds. The other image shows a set of three variations on a theme of six garden birds: all the same birds, but depicted on different formats. I generally now make sets of six as I prefer the long, thin format. All now sold.
Groups of birds in sixes! Pie charts came first, then abstract squares and bullseye circles. Garden Birds, Corvids, Things beginning with B, Water birds, riverside birds, dawn chorus and a solitary butterfly showing its life cycle stages. Mostly sold, but often repeatable!
And then sometimes they happen in different groups, or on their own....
